Need Your Boots Repairing? Here’s the answer.

Last week I took 2 pairs of boots (one pair is my beloved Sarm Hippiques, the other a new pair of ridiculously skinny-ankled boots I bought new from a friend, who found the bargain of the century on ebay, but then couldn’t get even her skinny ankles into them) to Busy Bee in Newmarket.

It’s not often you get absolutely AMAZING service, so I thought I’d spread the word. The really good news is their new countrywide service, which is going to be called pickupmyrepair (website not up and running yet), whereby their great deal with UPS will mean that they include the cost of collection and delivery (incl £250 insurance) in their fees. Their phone number is 01638 560616.

They stretched one of my new boots (the other fitted fine, strangely) for nothing, and put new super-strong zips in my Sarms, while I popped virtually next door for lunch. (Pizza at Wildwood, wow, worth the trip for that alone!) Anyway, Busy Bee gave fantastic service, done with a smile, I could not fault it.

Their choice of shoes, bags and belts is mouthwatering… I told them they have to get a stand at Burghley, they would do so well there!

  • I found out about Busy Bees when I bought some bargainous boots from EBay. They were too tight & I’d created a weak point in the zip trying to stretch them myself. They were so helpful & did a fantastic job. Mind you I didn’t go for pizza but watched the horses working on the gallops instead 🙂

  • That’s very helpful info – thanks.

On a similar subject, I must mention Ariat. On Wednesday the zip in my Bromonts broke (out of any conventional guarantee period). I called into Faringdon on my way to Badminton, and they replaced them with a new pair. Fantastic customer service!
