Our Contributors

Here at e-Venting we have a number of contributors.  All have an eventing backgrounds, competing and training at a variety of levels from grassroots all the way up up to 4*.

Some choose to be public, some use a pseudonym, which is a personal choice which we and hopefully you respect.

They hope to impart some wisdom, wit and other random knowledge to all who choose to read our site. Hopefully you will find these insights informative, educational and hopefully on occasion amusing.

There will often be ‘guest’ contributors  who can impart their superior wisdom on particular subjects.

Our ‘resident’ contributors are currently:

Katie (the army WAG) – An amateur grassroots eventer who has crossed over from the dark side (showjumping) and now cannot escape! Hoping to maybe win a real proper point this year if things go to plan.

Lucy – An amateur grassroots eventer who at this current time dreams of a life with sunshine, warmth and no mud.

Kerry Weisselberg – mad keen Eventing enthusiast, safety nut, volunteer for the Event Riders Association, she managed to get to 3*, and has been attempting to breed and/or produce a 4* horse for 20 years, and still hasn’t quite given up hope despite the enormity of the task.

The Eventing Vet – Full time equine vet and part time eventer whose once-lofty ambitions are decreasing by the day. By the start of the season she’ll be grateful just to finish each event in the saddle.

Tilly – An amateur grassroots eventer who manages to see her husband only occasionally after running a consultancy business, riding, updating the Area Riding Club Website, playing on the Bristol Roller Derby B-Team and running the PR for the league. Not always in that order!

TarrSteps – TarrSteps is a Citizen of the World (aka Canadian) currently working with young horses and “problem solving” – for both horse and riders – in the Surrey area. She has dabbled in most horsey disciplines but loves eventing because there is always another question to ask and another answer to find.

Vicky – Our resident 4* rider based in France. Competes her own homebred gelding at 3* and 4* level.

Louise AKA Eventing Supporter, Lifelong SJer but XC lover, editor of a dressage magazine….some would say that makes her confused, she says it makes her life full of unexpected turns, but remains confused about most things in life. Determined to turn her neurotic WB who is more willing to go to Tesco than cross country into something useful.
