We’re delighted to introduce Alex Postolowsky who is writing a blog for us from the Young Horse Championships and CCI1*/2* at Osberton International Horse Trials and from Le Lion d’Angers Eventing World Breeding Championships. Many of you will recognise Alex from her phenomenal 4* debut last month at Burghley where she was one of the first of the day to jump clear round what proved to be a very influential XC track, finishing in 37th place and collecting the Land Rover Perpetual Challenge Trophy for the highest placed Burghley first-timer and the HSBC Classics Training Bursary for best-placed 4* debutante.
Alex has some very classy young horses coming up through the ranks and here she introduces her rides this week at Osberton:
I am Alex Postolowsky and I am busy preparing this week to go Osberton Horse Trials with a selection of horses. However my preparation has not been going very well at all. I had a fall at Allerton Park and injured the inside of my shin meaning I have barely been able to ride for a week. I rode one horse yesterday and I’ve ridden two horses today and hopefully I will manage two tomorrow as well. So as you can see the 5 horses I have going to Osberton are not exactly getting the final finishing touches they usually get before a National Championship or a 3 Day Event!
The exceptionally classy Wutella claiming 5th place at Hartpury 2*
Wutella owned by Judy Bradwell is here competing in the CCI**. A truly tremendous jumper Wutella has had fantastic results this year. We would be hoping to improve on our 5th place at Hartpury CCI** earlier in the summer. However my inability to ride lately has made this seem like a more hopeful ambition!
