Tip of the Day: Physio’s Suggestion for a Horse Blocking in the Neck

I had the physio out the other day to Daisy, and she decided that the mare was blocking about a third of the way down her neck. One solution she suggested was to hang a lick that the horse really likes over the stable door, so that she has to arch her neck to reach it. A small Horselyx does the job perfectly.
I also move her to the other stable with it to her right so that she stretches/bends evenly to both sides.
We also do carrot stretches to touch her chin, very briefly, to near her chest.
After just a few days of this she already feels softer through the neck on the flat, without me needing to keep asking.
Definitely worth a go if you have a horse with a similar problem.
