All you need it a length of baler twine and a piece of old hosepipe about 30-40cms long to make a perfect easy-to-clean fillet string. This helps keep tails clean too, as it’s so easy to wipe the hose clean fairly regularly, unlike traditional fillet strings which can get very manky!
