Tip of the Day: Garden hand rake for poo-picking

IMG_6886

The Wolf-Garten hand rake is a thing of wonder…

To save your wrists from RSI, when you buy a new poo-picker, the first thing you should probably do is bin the stupid long-handled thing that came with it. This Wolf-Garten hand rake is the perfect tool for the job.
They cost about £10 at any big garden centre or online, and the tines usually last about 2 years of daily use before they start breaking, which I think is pretty good value. Then you can just slot out the front part and fit a new one to the handle.
It makes it very easy to poo-pick stables with minimal loss of bedding, and fields as tidily as possible.
