I am always short of money but I can often find time in my busy schedule to volunteer. It quite often pays off by getting something I normally spend cash on in return.
In the last few years I have done some marketing stuff for a rider which has been been swopped for free lessons, helped at a local equestrian centre which has meant arena time, money off competitions and jump judging which has meant schooling vouchers.
I do volunteer to put stuff back into the sport, but it makes a massive difference to my budget to trade skills for things that I normally pay for.

If you volunteer at Borde Hill, they waive your start fee 🙂
