The weather was exceptional today and a large crowd turned out for the First Horse Inspection at RK3DE.

Most of the riders were accepted to continue on to the Dressage test Tursday and Friday and then the Cross-Country Course on Saturday.

Five horses were held for reinspection.   James Alliston’s ‘Parker’, Katie Frei’s ‘Houdini’, and Kyle Carter’s ‘Madison Park’ were accepted upon reinspection.

Laine Ashker has withdrawn ‘Anthony Patch’ due to an abscess and, unfortunately, Ellen Doughty’s ‘Sir Oberon’ was not accepted upon reinspection.

All of the riders were smartly and fashionably dressed. Flowing dresses, skirts, bright pants and several white dresses were the choice for women, and many of the men wore smartly pressed suits.

The weather shows much improvement for the remainder of the week.

Dressage starts tomorrow at 10:00 am with Bruce (Buck) Davidson Jr. and Park Trader starting off the day.

Until tomorrow … leg-on!
