Although I love my Ariat boots they do seem to have an ongoing problem…the zip taps have a habit of breaking. I tried different tactics to overcome this problem, inserting a nail to pull up and down (annoying), the spring bit from a clothes peg (I was rather proud of that), but I kept losing my gadgets. String came next but kept breaking as you have to tug quite hard to make the safety catch in the zip release to allow movement. One day it dawned on me…keyring rounds! This is a really easy way to remedy the problem and far cheaper than taking the boots to be repaired. I have used rather large ones as those are what I had to hand, but you could use smaller…novelty attachment optional!
Ditto LOL
That is pure genius. 🙂
