Tip of the Day – Turning Between Fences

jumpingThis exercise comprises angled fences along the centre line and can be built using anything from poles on the floor up to decent uprights. Use high cross-poles if you need to improve your accuracy or find you tend to drift to one end of the fence or the other. The aim is to make accurate flowing turns without varying the tempo and to be quite disciplined on making sure you change legs over the fence. The example uses 6 fences/poles but the exercise can be built in any size of school using any number of fences from 3 upwards.
