This has probably been mentioned before on e-Venting and will almost certainly will again but its such a beneficial and simple tip it needs repeating.
When riding your dressage test if you make a mistake forget about it there and then. You’ve done it you will get a bad mark for that movement and there is nothing you can do to change it but you can stop if affecting the rest of your test.
As it will in almost all situations only affect the marks for one movement if you forget about it and ride the rest of your test as if it never happened your score won’t be hugely altered. If though you dwell on the mistake you will lost concentration and make yourself prone to making further errors whilst also potentially losing a mark per movement for riding slightly backwards mentally.

Feel this applies to every aspect but particularly SJ, if you knock a pole down don’t let it effect the rest of our round. Ride like it never happened.
slight caveat… make sure you know where each movement starts & finishes and what’s in them so you don’t inadvertantly end up missing a movement out… I picked up the incorrect canter lead and had trouble correcting it.. gave up and concentrated on picking up the trot again and prepping for the next movement – only the next movement was still in canter! Got my first 0! durrr.
