Tip of the day: trying rugs

If you need to try a rug but are in the situation that you may need to return it if it doesn’t fit you will have to ensure it doesn’t get dirty including any hairs which at this time of year can be a challenge. To get round this put a thin rug either a clean summer sheet, travel rug or lightweight turnout on your horse first then place the new rug over the top. The thin rug won’t change the fit of the new rug so if it doesn’t fit you can fold it away and return it whilst ensuring it stays spotless.
