Recently, I’ve been testing the technical short sleeved polo shirt from LD Equestrian. Now it’s fair to say I’m a pretty harsh critic of riding-wear. I come from a background of rock climbing, and until now I’ve always found outdoor clothing brands perform better for physical activity than equine ones.
I put the LD Equestrian polo shirt through a hard test – as well as riding in it, I took it on a week-long cycle touring holiday. So I’ve worn it on cold days, on hot days, and for a 90km day of cycling (having already done 2 half day bike rides in it).
There’s a lot to like about this top. I was sent the cherry red colour, and as well as being vibrant, it doesn’t fade after repeated washes. It also stands up to some pretty heavy exercise without getting stinky, which is a major plus. It washes well, and dries really fast. The material is really silky and I found it so comfortable to wear I almost didn’t know I had it on. It’s smart enough for clinics, and the available colours will definitely appeal to those of you who like to go all out matchy.
It is a slim fit, however LD Equestrian have just tweaked the sizes so they’re now true to size and offer a greater range than the S/M/L offered previously.
This should definitely be on your Christmas list!
