Tip Of The Day: Cutting tails to the right length

Just wrap round the leg and cut at the point of the hock as this tail has already been done.

Do you struggle to work out what length you need to cut a tail at to make it look ‘right’? If so here is a quick simple tip.

Take hold of the tail put it between the horse’s back leg and wrap it around one leg, and then cut it where it is at the point of the hock.

    another way is to take a hold of the tail, run your hand down it until you are a fist below the chestnut. cut it at that length.

    Is another good way to do it.
