If you struggle learning your dressage tests by reading them set up a mini arena in your house/garden/yard etc using pieces of paper as markers if inside and then run through the test on foot. If you forget a movement you can quickly stop read the test sheet then carry on without worrying about the horse underneath you!
You could practice in a full size arena but you would need to be fit! Also a smaller arena helps as you run through the movements quicker and so are more likely to remember them in sequence.
You may feel a fool but it really does work. I’ve been known when younger to often trot and canter round my lounge!
