No, this isn’t about some fancy superbra that keeps everything up top in check… although the Shock Absorber BraΒ does a great job.
A few weeks ago I got taped up with kinesio tape by my physio, particularly to help with my back/shoulder posture issues. I loved the feeling, but it only lasted 5 days (just!) and I can’t afford to have her here every 6 days, unfortunately, so I was wondering what else to try, as I don’t trust anyone else to stick kinesio tape on just right in the right place (tension at the correct end to encourage the correct muscles etc, it’s not just a case of slapping it on!)
Browsing Pilates equipment in TK Maxx the other day (as you do) I saw a Reebok Easy Tone top, which has tight ResisTone bands set into the stretchy breathable fabric, to ‘help improve posture and body alignment’.
It was reassuringly cheap, they only had 1 there (Small, Turquoise) but I thought I’d give it a go…
Okay, Small was a bit ambitious. These are sized on the snug size anyway and I’m a 10ish on top, maybe a 12 depending on the manufacturer. I now know that a Small is an 8-10. Just.

But, I got it on (not without major effort) and I LOVED the way it felt from the start! It’s kind of like wearing a tight racerback swimming costume, it makes you very aware of your body from the start. They’re a good long length so tuck well into breeches and no danger of inadvertently flashing your tummy to all and sundry.
Must admit that getting out of the Small was a whole new adventure, I nearly had a panic attack when I got completely stuck, before I worked out how to use my elbow to prise it over my head…
But in fact I loved it so much that I instantly started hunting down more on good old eBay. I think this is now ‘old stock’ (I can’t find them on the Reebok website at all) so you can grab a bit of a bargain. They seem to be available in black, white, beige (as above, which I’m avoiding because I’ve fallen into that trap before – you look topless from a distance!), hot pink, turquoise, and purple.
I have gone for Medium (12-14, but really a snug 12) size from now on, since the Small really is in “sausage in a skin” territory for me, but I might use that one for competing!
I got my new ones on ebay hereΒ and of course there are some second hand on there too.
Really recommended. So chuffed that I discovered these. It’s like having an extra set of obliques that just gives you a gentle reminder here and there. π π π

What a find! Mindful of the fitting advice I have ordered a large!
Well I’ve just bought as it sounds a great idea. Will see what its like once I try and ride in it!

Ha, that’s good news! Hope you all love them as much as I do, if not we’ll have to set up a Swap Shop! π π π
I’ve just bought one too! As a person who is facing a year of so of physio to correct my posture, and which includes kinesio taping on a near weekly basis, this has gotta help! Thanks for highlighting these – I hope you’re getting commission!
I assume you’re meant to wear them with a bra?
