Tip of the Day – Getting a Deal when Buying a Horse

One of my top tips is to put aside some time when looking for horses and to start at the bottom of websites like Horse Quest and go through older copies (10 -14 days old) of magazines like Horse Quest when looking for horses. These are more likely to have a reduction in price.

Do not feel embarrased about ringing above your budget and just be honest and ask the vendor if they are willing for you to come and see the horse, if it is above your budget. All the vendor can say is no, and it has cost you the price of a phone call. Always ring, rather than email because then it shows you are a serious buyer.
