Tip of the Day – Water Buckets

When mucking out, especially smelly wet straw beds, make sure you don’t put clean water buckets back into the stable until you’ve finished. All that ammonia released into the air whilst mucking out leaches into the water in the water buckets. At best it makes the water unpalatable, at worst it’s damaging to the lungs.
